Terms and Conditions

Last updated: November 2, 2026

These Terms govern your use of qwoty.me (the "Service"), operated by José Antonio López Arteaga, an individual with an address at Tonatiuh 101, Fracc. La Colonia, C.P. 42185, Mineral de la Reforma, Hidalgo, México ("qwoty" or "we"). By creating an account you accept these Terms and our Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

qwoty is a tool to create, send and track quotes: it generates PDFs, a public page per quote and, on paid plans, emails quotes on your behalf. qwoty is not a party to any agreement you make with your clients and does not handle their payments.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts. You must give us accurate information and keep your password confidential; you are responsible for activity on your account. Each account is for a single person or business.

3. Plans, free trial and automatic renewal

The Free plan costs nothing and has usage limits. The Pro (MX$174.00 per month) and Ultimate (MX$638.00 per month) plans are charged in Mexican pesos (MXN), VAT included, through Stripe. Your first subscription includes a 7-day free trial. When the trial ends, the first charge happens automatically unless you cancel before. Subscriptions renew automatically every month until you cancel. When you subscribe you expressly consent to the recurring charge, and we keep a record of that consent. We will email you at least 5 calendar days before each renewal.

4. Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from Billing ("Cancel subscription" or "Manage subscription"). Cancellation is immediate, free and has no penalties or minimum terms. You keep your plan until the end of the period already paid, and then your account moves to the Free plan.

5. Plan changes

If you switch from one paid plan to another, the change applies immediately and the difference is prorated on your next invoice.

6. Refunds

We offer the free trial so you can evaluate the Service before paying, so periods already charged are not refundable, except where applicable law requires it (for example, unauthorized charges or Service failures attributable to us). Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under consumer protection law.

7. Price changes

We will email you at least 30 days before any price change. If you do not agree, you can cancel before it takes effect.

8. Tax receipts

If you need a tax invoice (CFDI in Mexico) for your subscription, request it at hello@qwoty.me with your tax details within the month of the charge.

9. Your content

You keep ownership of what you upload or create: quotes, client data, logos and images. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process and display it only to provide the Service (for example, in your PDFs and public pages). You represent that you have the rights or permissions needed for everything you upload.

10. Acceptable use

You may not use qwoty for: phishing or impersonating another person or business; fake quotes, fraud or scams; unsolicited or bulk email; illegal, defamatory or infringing content; distributing malware; or attempting to breach, overload or bypass the limits of the Service. We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break this section.

11. Copyright and reports

We respect intellectual property. Anyone can report a quote from the "Report" link on its page or email, or send a notice under our Copyright Policy (qwoty.me/copyright). We close accounts that receive three valid infringement notices.

12. Your clients' data

When you enter personal data about your clients (name, email, company), you are the controller of that data: you must have a legal basis to use it and must have informed them as the law requires. qwoty processes it as a processor, only to provide the Service and as described in our Privacy Notice. Your clients can unsubscribe from the quote emails you send them; after that you will not be able to email them through qwoty.

13. Quotes, taxes and exchange rates

Quotes generated in qwoty are not invoices or tax receipts. You set the taxes and amounts; qwoty does not provide tax, accounting or legal advice. Exchange rates come from third parties, are for reference only and may differ from your bank.

14. Electronic acceptance of quotes

When your client accepts or declines a quote from its public page, we record the date and time, their IP address, their browser and a digital fingerprint (SHA-256) of the exact version they answered. An answered quote cannot be edited unless you reopen it. That record is a reference we make available to you; the agreement is between you and your client, and qwoty does not guarantee its validity or enforceability.

15. Availability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We take reasonable steps to keep it running continuously and securely, but we do not guarantee it will be free of interruptions or errors. We recommend keeping copies of your quotes (you can download them as PDF or ZIP).

16. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, qwoty is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, data loss or disputes between you and your clients, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. This limitation does not apply where the law does not allow liability to be limited, including willful misconduct and non-waivable consumer rights.

17. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms, notifying you when possible. You can delete your account at any time from Settings: this cancels your subscription, erases your data and makes your public links stop working. We keep the records the law requires us to keep (for example, billing and subscription-consent records).

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. For material changes we will email you at least 15 days before they take effect. If you keep using the Service afterwards, you accept the new version; if you do not agree, you can cancel and delete your account.

19. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the federal laws of Mexico. For any dispute, the parties submit to the competent courts of Pachuca de Soto, Hidalgo, México, without prejudice to your right to go to the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (PROFECO) or the consumer authorities where you live.
